The much awaited Globacom’s youth engagement programme, Rock ‘n’ Rule concert, will berth soon in Yola the Capital city of Adamawa state in April 2011.
A cast of top rated music and entertainment stars have been lined up by Globacom to perform at the concerts in Yola. A beauty pageant to pick Mr and Miss Rock ‘n’ Rule in Yola will also be held during the concert.
The concert has already been generating excitement among the youths in the sunshine state who are the primary target of the ’funtainment’ package.
The Mr. & Miss Rock n Rule contest in particular has generated an unprecedented interest among youths who are registering and would troop out for the screening exercise.
Ten pretty, bold and sassy ladies and 10 confident young men will be selected among the thousands of youths who will show interest in the pageant. As the audition of the competition holds on the 28th of March 2011 by 9am at GloWorld Yola, 28, Atiku Abubakar Way Jimeta Yola. The winner in each category takes home a Mobile Phone, the sum of N250, 000 while the runners-up will receive a Mobile phone and N150, 000 each. The second runners-up will get a mobile phone and the sum of N100, 000 each.
Globacom has promised that the Rock ‘n’ Rule concert, the biggest and best free youth-focused show in Nigeria will be another beautiful experience that will resonate with youths across the country. Other attraction includes swagger king and queen, dancing and music competitions.
Artistes on tour with Globacom on the project include Wande Coal, Chocolate City Boys (MI, Jesse Jagz, Ice Prince), J Martins, Zainab, Weird MC, Flavour, Terry G, Dr Sid, Chidynma, Pelagie from Benin Republic and Glo Naija Sings winner, Casey Edema. DJ Jimmy Jatt will also be there while the show will be anchored by Basket Mouth, Okey Bakassi and Gbenga Adeyinka.
To Participate
· You must between the ages of 18-25
· You must be between 5.7 ft tall and above
· People who meet the specified criteria should register at the nearest GloWorld in the region
