In celebrating South Africa, her people and her freedom over the last 20 years; Southern Africa is an important region of fifteen states with vast resources and progressive economic development, but also with some serious social challenges. With the world’s largest child and youth population, investment in children is crucial. Children are tomorrow’s parents, leaders, business executives, investors and consumers. All sectors - business, governments, civil society and academia - have the opportunity and the obligation to take on an increased responsibility for the future. Cross sector partnerships have a particular potential to create real and lasting change. Also to celebrate the success of Nigeria as a united nation, United Nations 70th and Junior Chamber International 100th Anniversary, A World at School Global Youth Ambassador and member of the UN Major Group for Children & Youth is wearing many caps at the Global Child Forum.

The Global Child Forum on Southern Africa will gather the most important and influential regional and international decision makers for dialogue and thought leadership on the legal, moral and commercial case for investing in coming generations. The Forum, with more than 30 prominent speakers and under the patronage and active involvement of Dr. Graça Machel, has a special focus on corporate sustainability for the protection of children’s rights. The Forum will showcase practical examples and create action-oriented tools for cross sectorial partnerships. Join us and participate in exciting and inspirational keynote speeches and discussions, the launch of ground breaking studies, interactive workshops and networking opportunities.
Chaste Christopher Inegbedion and Chineyenwa Okoro Onu, Africa’s Ghana and Nigeria’ Resident Social Enterprise Representative would lead the Nigeria delegation through the South Africa events which commemorated Nigeria’s post centenary, her active role in the United Nations, and the economic growth of South Africa, while also creating an opportunity for a renewed partnership between Nigerian Government, Business Leaders, Social Entrepreneurs and their African counterparts for informed dialogues and thought leadership on how to advance children’s rights in support of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child. 











Speaking about the involvement of Creative 5 and Mosaic Inspiration; Chaste Inegbedion said “it is imperative that as the world gathers for the Global Child Forum – the overarching objective which is to inspire individuals to take action to help change the world for the better and in doing so build a global movement for good. on this premise that we have collaborated with public spirited partners to put Nigeria on the map during this symbolic forum with the intention to draw the world attention to out of school children faced by Insurgency and also to help foster a renewed commitment in the South Africa-Nigeria social economic relationship.”
The delegation of visiting Business, Social Entrepreneurs and Economic Leaders would have in attendance in the presence of Global Child Forum honorary Patrons H.E. Dr. Graça Machel ,H.R.H. Princess Sofia of Sweden, H.E. Councillor Kgosientso Ramokgopa, Executive Mayor of the City of Tshwane, H.E. Dr. Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma, Chairperson, African Union Commission, Ms. Yvonne Chaka Chaka, Founder, Princess of Africa Foundation and other delegation would cut across eminent personalities from UNICEF, NEDBANK and Nelson Mandela Children Hospital. Chaste would be taking part in the Action Lab Session on the Topic: Connecting our Children in a Digital World – Dangers and Possibilities and Chineye would be speaking on the outcome of the Action Lab ‘Perspective of the Future’.

Chaste and Chineye would also be embarking on a Corporate Sustainability Outreach for “Out of School Children”.

In Southern Africa, RwandAir flies daily to Johannesburg with three of the flights presently routing via Lusaka. This has led to a sharp rise in transit passenger numbers flying via Kigali, where the airport expansion has supported the growth of the national airline.

Global Child Forum on Southern Africa is an independent, multi-stakeholder initiative that is co-organized with the City of Tshwane, Africa Child Policy Forum and National Business Initiative. Their Majesties the King and Queen of Sweden initiated Global Child Forum in 2009.

 About Chineye Okoro Onu

Chineye Okoro onu, a social entrepreneur, using her knowledge on entrepreneurship and human resource management to inculcate into young minds the importance of being innovative and productive. She is co-founder of the mosaic inspiration project which was nominated for the ANZISHA PRIZE AWARD in 2014. And in 2013. She became the team leader of an NGO organization in my school called ENACTUS RADFORD ACCRA GHANA which is a community of student, academic and business leaders committed to using the power of entrepreneurial action to transform lives and shape a better and more sustainable world.  

She has been appointed a speaker at this year’s Global Child Forum in Pretoria South Africa. She has been quoted in CNN as one of the 12 brilliant Africa entrepreneurs under 22,and  also been featured on how we made it in Africa, CCTV Africa ,Ajazera and other media platform.

About Chaste Christopher Inegbedion

Chaste Christopher Inegbedion is a community relations specialist in the areas of social innovations and Non-Profit Management Services. He is the Managing Partner of Creative5 with change products comprising the S6startUP and the Giving Garage. In 2012, Chaste inspired the Save Pwashikai Nideno Campaign- The historic Road to Recovery of a Five-Year Old mutilated girl who refused to die in dung village in Adamawa State. Also in 2013 & 2014, he was recognized and awarded by the Universal Peace Federation (An NGO with special consultative status at the United Nations Economic and Social Council) as a UPF Ambassador for Peace and got a surprise listing in a high powered global listing as ‘A World at School Global Youth Ambassador’
He has been a great contributor to the following charities which includes Holy Family Home for the Elderly, Patrick Language and Speech Centre, Lagos State Motherless Home, Bethesda Home for the Blind, Lagos Cheshire Home for the Handicapped, Pacelli School for the Blind, Wesley School of the Hearing Impaired and Down Syndrome Foundation.

Chaste a member of the UN Major Group for Children & Youth was a Project Contributor at the Third UN World Conference on Disaster Risk Reduction in Sendai, Japan held in March 2015.
