MTP journey concludes with events at United Nations and White House

Our mobile community of young innovators engaged with distinguished on-train mentors, local community leaders, and fellow Millennials on issues of importance to our generation and the world, ranging from racial healing, to small business growth, urban development, money in politics, new technologies, the future of food, and civic engagement.
This year's journey further validated and established the new kind of travel that MTP is working to pioneer: sustainable and socially impactful travel that prioritizes creativity over consumption, and that actually builds community while in transit.
The centerpiece of this community was our on-train makerspace, lecture hall, and dining car. Thanks to support from 3D Systems, the space included state-of-the-art 3D printing and scanning technology that enabled participants to manufacture tokens of their extraordinary, crowdfunding-enabled encounters with America's new frontiers.
The diversity of our community was greatly enhanced through a new partnership with the U.S. Department of State, which supported the participation of five foreign Fulbright Scholars who joined us from Yemen, Pakistan, Indonesia, Russia, and Colombia.
Equally inspiring were the tremendous role models we encountered in every city where our train stopped. Montana cattle ranchers, big data scientists, mayors, creative placemakers, designers, and entrepreneurs, among others, showed us that the American Dream is evolving to encompass the values of contemporary America.
We're so grateful to all our sponsors, partners, host communities, and the thousands of individuals that have supported our participants' crowdfunding campaigns. As we turn our attention toward preparations for our third journey (May 2015 // LA to Atlanta), we would appreciate your help with sharing and contributing to our crowdfunding campaign, which will help to underwrite our activities in the coming months.

And if you have any ideas about how we can expand our reach and impact going forward, please don't hesitate to let us know. Ever onward!
