Tuesday is what I popularly refer to as Tycoon Tuesday. It is a day where I encourage entrepreneurs, especially growing and start ups to posture up, adjust a Tycoon attitude. It is an attitude that says to themselves and the world - ‘I may not be there yet, but I know where I am headed.’ I may be a growing business (never call your business small), but I believe in excellence, diligence and I have big dreams for my business. This also applies to even those who are still employed and who see themselves as entrepreneurial professionals, people who understand that 21st century employment is no longer owned by the company but by the professional. You call and define how far you want to go based on your attitude, values and vision.

5 WAYS TO UNLEASH GREATNESS AND ACHIEVE SPECTACULAR RESULTS IMMEDIATELY
1. DEVELOP CLARITY. Yes, it’s pretty basic and obvious. That’s exactly why most will never achieve success, never mind greatness because the keys to success and greatness are very obvious and are common sense. If
you aren’t clear, and very specific about what you want to achieve, you’ll keep getting mixed results. You’ve got to get clear about what you want to achieve today. What exactly will success look like at the end of today? This month? This year. (Read more here about gaining clarity on your goals.) All truly great people have this one thing in common. They are absolutely clear what they want to achieve. They are not confused whether they want a thriving business be it a low key lifestyle one or a high powered tycoon type, they know they want to achieve financial freedom and when. They want to be healthy and fit with specific targets, and that they desire to have well adjusted disciplined children who are positive members of the society, or maybe even want to become international speakers and bestselling authors. Nothing is too big, what’s important is that you develop clarity about your own dreams and desires.
2. BELIEF. BE ENTHUSIASTIC. BE IGNITED. Energy ignites. Belief in what you are doing energises you and those around you. Belief causes you to make decisions about your goals. Enthusiasm improves your self confidence, makes you more attractive, and relatable. Enthusiasm puts you in a better state of mind, and enables you make better decisions which lead you to take more effective action and achieve higher performance. Choose to be enthusiastic today. It will brighten your day and enable you cope better with challenges, which are inevitable when you are making progress. Having no challenges usually means you are operating in your comfort zone. Maybe it’s time to shake things up, and have something to be enthusiastic about. Believe in your goals. Be. Enthusiastic about them.
3. TAKE ACTION. Yes, the ‘A’ word! Without action, everything is a boring old dream. Do yourself a favour and take real diligent action towards your dreams and goals today. It may be just creating a plan, making a call, setting aside thinking time, networking more, focusing more on your results, doing that research you’ve been putting off, asking for that business meeting, that promotion, scheduling that doctor’s appointment to ensure you are ultra fit for the rest of two year, maybe even doing your business review. What action do you need to take today to ignite your greatness? Only you know!
4. NO MORE EXCUSES: Accept 100% responsibility for all your actions and inactions. Don’t fall into the trap of ‘Excusitis‘- the master ‘ greatness derailer’ of all times. Chest out, bold up, and realise that if it has to be – it’s up to YOU! The buck stops with you. If you do not accept and embrace this basic rule, sorry, you are unlikely- no- you will (read my lips) NEVER ATTAIN GREATNESS! This is an area that many struggle with. Yes the economy may be bad, the clients may be dwindling, the team may seem weak, and maybe the company is not investing…but these are all excuses! There are solutions for everything. Find them. You have the power, the intelligence, and all that is required to succeed at any challenge before you. If it’s a challenge, there’s a solution within your sphere, within or around you. There’s nothing new under the sun. Do the work it takes to find the right solutions.
5. RE-DEFINE NO! NO is not always a final answer. Understand that No means many things including, not now, explain it better to me, I’m not the right person, this isn’t the right way to ask me, change the terms a little bit and so many other possibilities filled definitions. Learning to interpret ‘No‘ accurately will open up new levels of success that very few people ever attain. FINALLY, because September is a truly Spectacular one which I believe will be Successful and Strategic, I decided to give you an extra point to consider in your journey to becoming truly great.
Here it is, number #6 and you guessed right:
6. GO THE EXTRA MILE: Don’t stop at doing your regular routine in whatever you do today. Instead decide to go the extra mile. Give more than is required of you. Smile more. Read more. Reach out more. Dream more. Make more calls today. Do more of all the above 5 things and you will be on your way to becoming truly great! Here’s to your success and greatness. Become Unstoppable. Be Ignited.
