Since its inception, the internet has empowered online users
to achieve incredible things! Thanks to the connections the internet helps
foster, global health has improved; economies have expanded; and civil society
has flourished. Continents including Africa, whose internet user base is
undergoing incredible growth rates, have a particularly important stake in
helping shape the future of internet governance policy. The Africa Internet
Governance Forum (IGF), taking place in Abuja, Nigeria mid-July, presents an
important opportunity for African stakeholders to define their internet
governance policy priorities in the lead up to the global IGF in Turkey.
Tune in on July 21st at 9:00 AM (EDT), 2:00 PM
(WAT) for a webcast panel discussion between Nigerian stakeholders and USG
representatives on this topic.
This program will be in English.
